Philosophy: The Big Questions (repost)

This book brings together a superb team of authors with extensive backgrounds. Based on the view that philosophy is best learned by actually doing it, the text encourages direct student engagement with core philosophical issues and theories. Each of the six units covers a distinct curriculum topic, allowing teachers a clear choice in how to configure their courses. Both Expectations and recently written Profiles are supported in the text and in the Teachers' Resource Guide. Each chapter begins with a list of key words and key people and a challenge to students to begin talking about fundamental ideas.
